Our Causes

Our Causes

Everyone Deserves a Mentor. We Make That Happen.

A Better Tomorrow (ABT) prepares motivated high-school and college students to convert summer work into lasting academic and career advantage. Our Summer Program combines intensive employer partnerships, curated job-shadowing, and business-insight lunches. In addition to our summer offerings, ABT now delivers year-round, practice-focused supports that expand the pipeline into competitive summer internships and improve internship outcomes.

How ABT Creates Impact

ABT delivers practice-focused programs throughout the year that prepare students for competitive internships and real workplace environments.

From application coaching and professional readiness training to job shadowing and employer engagement, our model ensures students enter internships prepared and employers receive motivated, skilled interns.

Why Partner With ABT

High-leverage youth workforce development

ABT focuses on the subset of students seeking competitive, career-aligned summer internships (NYC SYEP Ladders for Leaders), and students who will benefit from curated on-ramps to college majors and careers.

Year-round pipeline and readiness

ABT’s seasonal boot camps (the fall/winter NYC SYEP L4L Application Boot Camp and the spring Pre-Professional Summer Work Readiness Boot Camp) create a reliable, equity-focused pipeline into Ladders for Leaders and other high-quality internships. By supporting application completion, interview readiness, and on-the-job behavior and digital skills before placements begin, donors help convert short-term summer work into durable college and career advantage.

Track record of results

In the second year of operation, ABT’s NYC SYEP Ladders for Leaders Application Boot Camp had a 150% increase in workshops, 153% increase in applications submitted, and a 525% increase in Acceptances/Applications Under Further Review or Waitlisted
